I can't create mapname.bat because it says (translating from russian language)
after enlargng the file name it could be unaccesable
do you really want to enlarge it?

If i press YES then it creats a file mapname.bat but in an unknown format and after pressing file, export to .map in Valve Hammer it can't find that mapname.bat file!!!!!!!
what do i do?

Don't worry about that warning message. It does not apply to this situation.

Once it is named mapname.bat you should be able to run it by double-clicking on it. Does that work?

Thanks again SuperJer, by the way how long did it take you to become such a good mapper? And do you have your own mapsite?
P.S. just curious how good you are....

"Such a good mapper?" well ok.. thanks :)

I've been mapping for many years for many games. Here's all the games I can remember mapping for:

Wrecking Crew - 1985
Think Quick - 1987
Unlimited Adventures - 1993
Doom II - 1994
Duke Nukem 3D - 1996
Quake - 1996
Half-Life - 1998
Counter-Strike - 1999
Counter-Strike: Source - 2004

All my available maps for CS and Source are here:
http://www.superjer.com/maps.php

Some of my Duke 3d maps are here:
http://www.superjer.com/oldsite/duke3d.htm

I have a lot of maps that aren't available online because I lost them, they suck, or I'm too lazy to put them up.

I'm not sure when I made my first map. It was for either Wrecking Crew (NES) or Think Quick (IBM PC).

If I had to guess I'd say I first made a map in about 1987. I was 4.

little known fact: superjer eats the heads of other small babies to gain their knowledge, so he eventually learned how to map and how to burn CDs with his elbow.

Mapping was a lot simpler in 1987. Think Quick was a 2D, four color game with a really simple map editor.
