when ever i try and join a custom map, like a surf map, or cs_assault_upc, or just like not common maps, i get this error saying, "Cannot continue without model (mapname.bsp),disconnecting

i have tried uninstalling and just putting maps into my steam maps folder, but none of its working, idk if my valve hammer editor did something to it to make it be like this, : (

The server might not allow downloading, in which case you'd have to get the exact same map from elsewhere.

why don't they allow downloading ? its very likely that people won't have all of the maps played on the server

just find another server that lets you download maps
