can i take screen shots of my map and post them on my clans forum so my other clan members can see the map?

Make a ingame screenshot.. Bind a key for "snapshot"

bind "alt" "snapshot"

Then press alt and there should be an image in your cstrike folder

Yes, if you want to take a screenshot from Hammer just press the PrintScreen-button on your keyboard(usually located to the right of F12)then just open an image-program(eg MSPaint) and paste it in (Ctrl+V).

If you want to take a screenshot from the game you can use the above method but there's also an built-in function in the game to make it easier to take multiple screenshots in a row, go into the options and then check the controls, theres a list there, find which button is tied to "take screenshot" then just press that button and an image will be saved in your cstrike-folder.

Both these methods produces images in the .BMP-format which is a bit big for internet-use, therefore save the pictures down as jpg before uploading.

Nah, jpeg is evil and lossy. CounterStrike should compress nicely as a PNG. Which is open-source and lossless :D

Yes png is better quality then jpeg . and png can be exported with no background
