Good luck. I have been looking on how to change my icons and the only way I have found out how is to go [via your explorer] Tools>Folder Options>File Types and change it for every extension you have, and yes that would mean you have to MAKE the icons or find them on the internet. BUT, if you give me a week [a really long week I could make you a program that could do that for you. You would have to give me some info first though.

Right click any folder-> Customize-> Change icon. But that's only for folders.
2nd option is to change your ugly background.
May contain traces of invisible text.

Another Linux win! There are entire sets of icons that can be distributed, it's kind of awesome. I'm not trying to preach here by the way, I am posting this from my Windows partition.

Well, Linux>Windows anyway if you know how to use it and don't really care about games.
...and that's the bottom line because Mate de Vita said so.

But Wait! Chrome OS will save us all!
Oh, wait, no it wont.
What Linux do you use?
I dual boot xp and ubuntu [both suck].
I have a win 98 disc I would down grade but I cant figure out how, save for corrupting my hard drive. But whats the point? My motherboard is starting to go anyways, my cpu fan keeps blowing [even though the temp is 89f].....Whatever

You can't use Windows 98 on a computer with an internet connection. It has zero security and you will be flooded with viruses in seconds even if you just plug in some CAT5.

Its Windows 98, it doesn't even work without at least one virus.

Dualbooting Vista and Ubuntu at the moment. I am considering installing Arch over the weekend, because I hate my life. I'd disagree with "Ubuntu sucks", it's ok, and definitely one of the best ways to get into Linux. It's like a gateway drug.
