see what i mean here

I want to move the red box down the ropes, i'm using a func_traintrack on the box and the buttons activate it but it doesn't work. I'm now thinkin that func_traintrack is like a tram and i shouldn't b using it for this but if not then what should i use and how do i do that.

Hmm annoying.. in Hammer Mapping
Lol yer i see now after using it yesterday (neva used it b4 and was wonderin why all my entities went away and couldnt get em back, i leanrt that move to world affects everything and toggles on and off, was fine after did ctrl + w again :D)
Anyways move to world (ctrl + w) makes it so that you can select each brush and point based entity individually and edit them. When you press ctrl + w again it puts it back to norm.

i was just askin basically the same thing. If you have selected multiple brushes and binded them to an entity (ctrl + T) but you want to edit a part of one of the brushes then clic a part of your breakable boxthing and then go: tools, move to world (ctrl + W)it should remove the breakable entity from them and they should be ungrouped also

Cool, I would never have guessed that 'move to world' would do that.
Anyways thanks :D

hey

Is there some sort of un-tie to entity button (opposite to ctrl + T)? Because when i have multiple brushes tied together using an entity I cant seem to untie them to modify just one of the brushes and I cant select just one brush as when I click on one it selects the group of em. I end up having to recreate all the brushes again and then tie them again.
If there is such a button it would save a lot of time.
