hlgsc is in there with e'erthang else. it should be running, shudn't it?

k well you were right for some reason hlcsg quits running during compilation. an window mentioning that hlcsg.exe has stopped working comes up

Ok, that's not awesome because it somehow isn't even getting to write to the command line, have you done anything funny to your map?

Not really. It's not finished, this was a test to see if I had fucked it up already. Its still pretty much all brushes + spawns and light. I haven't done anything with the vertex tool to fuck it up. Man I'm so frustrated, I'm completely remade this map like 3 times, and I was hoping I could one day get it to work but my dreams seem to be folly.

It seems that hlbsp failed to generate the required point files. I believe this has to do with the lights.

Post your .bat and log files.

Do you have any crazy dynamic lights or lots of spot lights?
