hi i have Downloaded: zhlt.wad and expert .fgd

are they supposed to be different places and where shall they both be???

i think it might be about this but not the last part...

D:\Program Files\steam\steamapps\<username>\ and what next???

How in the devil's most prized part of the body are we supposed to know what directory you have set as your download directory?
If you're using firefox, go to tools->options->Main tab and under Downloads check which directory you've set as the Save to directory.
...and that's the bottom line because Mate de Vita said so.

what you mean about downloaded??? i did download from steam... i did download Source SDK and in Source SDK is there a hammer editor...

Which game are you trying to map for? Source SDK includes Hammer 4, but you can only map for Source-games with that. If you want to map for CS 1.6 you need to download and install Hammer 3.4 which can be found here: http://www.egir.dk/files/hammer_v34.zip

im mapping to source i know...
but if so does zhlt.wad and expert .fgd work to source???
if it dont then what to do???
if it does could it be here to put it???

i can see that the hammer files is there so it sounds good.
but where do i need to get the files into???
there are theese folders: filters, MotionMapperTemplates, phonemeextractors, prefabs and vconfig.
ohhh and now i forgot where to get the zhlt.wad and expert.fgd files, can i get a link?

Hammer 4 doesn't use either .wad or .fgd so you don't need any of those files.

I don't really know much about source mapping but I guess that it still does have brush and point entities.
So are you sure you're looking under brush entities?
...and that's the bottom line because Mate de Vita said so.
