I recently got a beastly virus, and eventually I broke down and had to reformat. (i got to save everything important though)

i have all the basic stuff that i need to re-install, but is there any killer apps that you guys use that i should get onto mine? or just remind me on what i need in case I forgot something.

I'm a major fan of having HijackThis. It kills just about anything you don't like and doesn't always ruin your computer in the process. You just have to know what you are doing with it.

The site it's on has lots and lots of other pwnage programs.

This site works VERY well in conjunction with something like Spybot SD because Spybot detects almost all malware even if it can't delete it. Then ya just find the right program to murder what you detected on Merijn. It hasn't failed me yet.

Also the Spybot Teatimer is the shit.
