How would i cut a brush in to..? so i got 2 lil brushes out of one big brush ;D

Dont think im doing something wrong... But can u give me really really easy steps of how to do this.. So i no it isnt jsut my PC being stupid or the program :P please.

ok.. the compilers dont make the .bsp file.. i just get anther .bat file and the .err.bat or whatever its called again :P

CModelLoader::Map_IsValid: 'basic' is not a valid BSP file
map load failed: basic not found or invalid

and when i open the .err.bat or whatever it was called file.. it says..

hlcsg: Error: Parsing Entity 0, expected '{' got '@echo'

i get this when i create a server and try to load in my map.. :(

ok not working.. -.-

what i did was.. i went to my ZHLT folder.. and i made a text document.. then i exported Basic.map to that ZHLT folder.. then i copied..

hlbsp basic
hlvis basic
hlrad basic
copy basic.bsp "C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\MYEMAIL\counter-strike\cstrike\maps"
pause
"C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 10 -dev +sv_cheats 1 +map basic

in the text document..

then i renamed the file Basic.bat

and i copied the Basic.bat file and put it into my.. C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\EMAIL\counter-strike\cstrike\maps folder..

Then what? and is all this right so far? :)

Super.. I still cant find it :( iv opened to.. C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps.. the folder after that is my username for my steam account i dont have counter-stike after it :S

Sort of new to mapping for counter strike: source.. but for some reson i cant find my cstrike.wad file.. am i only one getting this problem? :(
