How do you make your owns wads and textures?

I managed to get it working, my Mapname had a space in it and for some reason only the second word was being recognised. Maybe you should mention it in your tutorial.

when I try to compile my map it says "The system cannot find file specified" in the command window. How do I fix this as no .err doc is created either so I can't find out what's gone wrong
