EDIT: Before you call me an incredibly resounding idiot for not using the search button I did, but can't find this problem exactly. I might be a philistine though.
first off excellent tutorial now that I'm done sucking up, I just don't get why my software is so retarded. I did everything necessary, but bum da bum this is what comes up in the err file:- "hlcsg: Error: Could not open wad file \program files\counter-strike 1.6\cstrike\cstrike.wad hlcsg: Error: Could not find WAD file Description: The compile tools could not locate a wad file that the map was referencing. Howto Fix: Make sure the wad's listed in the level editor actually all exist." why the fish can't it find the WAD? If it didn't exist you piece of jackoff I wouldn't be able to load it in the first place. I tried the other WADS like liquids, xeno etc and they got listed up here as well so I removed them and tried with just cstrike. next up I have an issue with the bat file. See, I don't have the CS/HL CD neither do I have steam, but my game still works. So, quite eloquently I simply removed "cd E:\halflife" because "could not find path specified" kept coming up in the log. Is this ok or must I absolutely have to steal some old lady's purse for this shit? This is the final log, with no cd and just cstrike for wad... xxxx hlcsg v2.5.3 rel Custom Build 1.7 (Dec 9 2002) Zoner's Half-Life Compilation Tools -- Custom Build Based on code modifications by Sean 'Zoner' Cavanaugh Based on Valve's version, modified with permission.
