just to add to this error, i have now created a brand new basic beginners tutorial box map withe 1 ct and 4 walls and a roof and this doesnt run either... think i moght have to re install...

Hi there, i have recently re installed my hammer to start map building again. i loaded a finished map in to my hammer and compiled it. it started cs up loaded all resources, then hl2.exe crashed telling me it a memory instruction could not be read. then hammer crashed straight after giving the same error message

"the instruction at "0x0eb17e13" reference memory 0x0000038. the memory could not be read"

any ideas before i ripp it all out and re install...
